MERRY MAKER’S
Have Yourself a Merry Little Cocktail

Every holiday season, Marian Jansen op de Haar, director of wine at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, shakes things up with a new cocktail. While many mixologists might gravitate toward a champagne or sparkling wine cocktail, Marian prefers a something a bit huskier: Whiskey. “As in the American classic: bourbon,” she says. Merry Maker’s, a “contemporary whiskey cocktail,” is mixed with Maker’s Mark, traditional holiday juices and Chambord for a French flair. “Something that is as cozy as a hot toddy,” she says, “but drinks like a cool and sophisticated martini.”
The Merry Maker’s is available at all Fleming’s locations through the month of December.

Merry Maker’s

1.5 ounces Maker’s Mark
3/4 ounce Chambord
1/4 ounce Orange Juice
1/4 ounce Pomegranate Juice
1/4 ounce Cranberry Juice

Combine ingredients and shake in a martini shaker on ice. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an orange wheel.
