Dave Putney was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Brandon, Florida. He attended the University of South Florida and the University of Florida  where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacy in 1983. He has been a registered pharmacist for over 30 years practicing in a variety of settings.

During the course of his career he began to see that a person’s attitude towards their condition was just as important as the medications being used in determining patient outcome. People who maintain a positive attitude about their condition seemed to recover quicker and in the case of chronic conditions need less medication.

Does this mean you should stop your medications? Absolutely not! However, he realized that the mind can be a powerful adjunct to medical treatment.

A series of events led him to the profession of hypnotherapy and he knew this was to be the direction his life was to take. He attended the Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy, Florida’s only state licensed school of hypnotherapy,  where he received over 500 hours of training under the direction of Matthew Brownstein. He is also a member of the International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists.

Dave is certified as a clinical hypnotherapist and a transpersonal hypnotherapist. He uses a variety of modalities such as hypnotic programming, parts therapy, regression therapy, breathwork and past life regression. These protocols allow people to discover the root cause of their problems which leads to true resolution of these problems.
