Coastal Living: West Shore

Homeowner B.B. Abbott was looking for a Key West-style party house when he hired Veranda Homes to reconfigure this 1980s ranch home. In 2006, Abbott remodeled and redesigned the home to fit his lifestyle and have a more open floor plan that would flow outside to his lanai. Although he felt limited in space, Abbott says Veranda Homes utilized very inch of his 2,900 SQ FT floor plan to incorporate a desired full-service liquor bar, in-home office with private entrance, resort-style master bedroom that opens to the lanai and a kitchen that is the interior centerpiece of the home. Abbott’s idea was to create an area where he can not only live and conduct business, but also entertain his friends and family and truly show off his waterfront villa.

Natural Springs Pools was brought in to design the backyard of this West Shore home. The Infinity-edge Jacuzzi pool is certainly the focal point of the lanai but the backyard also has quite the outdoor kitchen a private dock for Abbott to store his boat and jet skis. He says Natural Springs accomplished everything he asked for with limited space, and designed an area where he can relax along the Bay.
